Fungus(cloth) Amongus |

Fungusbark and Moldy Pages are both niche, but good materials that I think will see a lot more use with the most recent update. But I think adding a cloth material that has the same effect would help open up a lot of builds to utilize this and not sacrifice their items.
I love mushrooms!

Chimera if using WASD mode, can hit the Z button on remains, then once the menu pops up, they can align their mouse to the 'yes' button on the prompt window and alternate Z and left click to eat the same corpse while it slowly vanishes about 5 times.

Special Strikes Are Kinda Weak |

The effects on special strikes can be either pretty good or pretty meh, that's not what I'm discussing today though, these things are really not great, it feels like they were originally thought up and then had their stops pulled severely as to try and not make them too overbearing, and their itemization support is also very weak and doesn't even support that very well.
The proc chances is what I'm going to be talking about mostly, why is it a proc chance to begin with if they're going to have cooldowns associated to them, there's a bad luck protection system set in place and that's great, but if I have to run up and throw a regular basic attack at something, I'm putting all my eggs into that special strike's basket, I'd simply like a more reliable way to proc it.
The chances of special strikes occuring from base needs to go way up, these need to sort of be a relatively reliable chance of actually happening, there are such cool special strikes that I'd gladly use "Basic Attack" for if I could get them to work properly, but as it stands, they really are not appealing and I turn my head away towards more reliable options instead.
I don't know if I'm being constructive at all with my complaints, to be quite honest I was looking at Gae Baed's special strike and thought to myself "Wow I'd actually love to use that", but testing netted me a proc after like 3-6 rounds, the thing has a 3 round cooldown too so I don't understand why I shouldn't just be able to use it far more reliably.

Evade Sucks, man. |

Evade sucks, man.
That's it, that's the thread.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
No, not really. Evade sucks right now for both sides of the coin. There's way too much hit in the game, way too many evade ignores, and anyone who builds for it can essentially just pretend that evade doesn't exist. On the other side, if you don't build for hit or have ways around it, you just auto lose. This isn't really fun for either side of the coin, and right now I think you're basically damned if you do damned if you don't in terms of evade.
So I want some changes, baby.
First of all, there's way too many god damned evade ignores in this game. Holy shit there's so many fucking evade ignores, it's a little silly. Especially after the charge mind skill where like a large majority of the mage class now can just evade ignore you and pretend your evade doesn't exist. This is compounded by the fact that evade ignores aren't actually weaker than regular spells, they usually have the same scalings so the fact of the matter is that they're evade ignoring and then dealing a significant chunk of your health bar since you can't actually afford other damage resistance sources. In addition to the fact that now the charge mind and weapon charge stuff makes them deal even *more* damage while ignoring evade. Hell, why don't we let them evade defense and resistance while dealing more damage? Both would essentially set the opponents stats to zero. It doesn't make sense here that only evade suffers this compounding efefct.
To that end, I think the (majority) of evade ignores should be turned to Great Accuracy instead. It sucks to just have all your defensive investment flat ignored, especially when half the time it's doing even more damage now than before. At least let them glance instead so there's a chance to live through a good old Divine SHower - > Excel Fir -> Explosion - > Charge Mind Ryemei fucking blender rather than instant dying.
Secondly, people can get hit that is way, way too high. Like, 260-300 hit is fairly attainable especially as a black knight. Rune mage can easily get to 280+ hit while also negating a large part of your evade with magnetize too, and these aren't the only classes that can get high hit, just the ones that can do it easily.
I think dodge should have an effect like special strikes. Whenever you don't evade a hit, your chance to evade the next one is minorly increased, perhaps something like 3-5% per attack. This wouldn't be 'on hit' but instead the full attack so thousand stabs or something doesn't increase your chance to dodge to a silly degree.
This should also work the other way. If an enemy misses you, they should get a minor increase in chance to hit you next time. In addition to this, there should be a hit floor. You should never have zero or a negative chance to hit, there should always be at least some possibility of hitting the enemy. Perhaps ten percent or so.
I also believe there should be a max cap to the hit you can achieve, though I have no solid suggestion on that.
Application - Faux Spirit Guardian |
Applicable Key: TheRuffKnight
Character Name: Cassiopeia
Request Type: Appearance
Request Details:
This application is a separate request from one long prior, regarding the playing of a legitimate youkai companion to an accomplice's character. This request is more of a spin on said application, in that I am asking to play the illegitimate youkai companion to an accomplice's character. A short explanation in an effort to avoid any extraneous or excessively revealing details is that the character is intended to be a papillion posing under the delusion that they are a non-summoner's youkai companion, supported by an illusion that renders them apparent as a youkai to their partner.
The illusion would not be without its faults. If the character were to be in an unconscious state, focus would not be held to upkeep the character's appearance. Likewise, depending on the potency of isesipian involvement, magic could in fact tamper with the strength of the illusion.
I am not immediately prone to sharing the full details of character story for the sake that said story would be a source of future development (layman's terms: spoilers), but I am happy to provide the reasoning and rationalization for this character's delusion and state of being if it becomes necessary for this forum post - in thread or in private discussion - I will say that there are rationalizations in place and it is not merely the character acting for giggles.
Supporting Lore:
> Papillions are known to struggle with damaged psyches as a consequence of their affliction, although I do have other IC rationalizations I am open to discuss for the specifics of this request.
> Papillions are also known for their propensity for illusion. I also understand that in the case of their wings, one's perception of the wings is a direct affect on just how real they are. That's separate though, and I don't necessarily intend to blur the line too much.
2.79
Icon Parts - Added 12 new icon parts for back-held weapons, guitar cases, lyres, etc., courtesy of Autumn.
- Added 53 new icon parts of a huge variety, including strange masks, haoris, horns, etc., courtesy of DBKaw. Some require mirror shards, and some do not. Here's a full list of the new mirror shards;
- Scientist Suit
- Beast Cape
- Round Glasses
- Halo Collection
- Haoris
- Flower Face
- Creepy Masks
Event Tools
Event Stages- Added a window that allows the spawning of entrances to preset event stage maps.
- Added about 22 event stage maps.
- Added a few battlefields for some of these.
World Management- Added a window for World Management with the following features;
- Toggle monster spawns for permanent dungeons.
- Clear monsters from permanent dungeons.
- Freezing time. (Effects that tick on new hours still do so, but the hour will never change while on.)
- Setting the time to a specific hour.
Edit Mode- Added a window for finer spawned object editing, accessible via a button in the Spawner UI and then clicking the object to edit.
Puppet Mode- Can now target spawned objects and move them around in the same way.
- Shift + Direction to face a certain way now also works on puppet objects/NPCs.
Other- Mercenaries are disabled in event encounters by default now.
- Added an 'include me' button to the encounter tool. If set and no encounter is selected, forces a battle with only yourself against the selected party.
- Added a verb (delete-unequipped-items) to clear the inventory of unequipped equipment items (in cases where loading profiles onto self causes inventory issues).
- Added some skills for event use that aid in fine-tuning monster stat scores like hit/evade/etc. (Monster Augment series.)
Plane Master Updates- Mostly a backend change to the way the game sets up and manages plane masters, which are used for things such as lighting layers.
- Noted here in case there is an issue related to it.
- Updated BYOND to version 514.1589. (Latest stable version as of this post.)
- Fixed a bug where the armor pool for multi-hits of damage wasn't properly decreasing for physical armor, leading to multi-hits dealing less damage than intended.
- Fixed a bug where Puppet Mode's say and emote verb options were not working.
Youkai XP modifiers |
Youkai leveling kinda sucks if you aren't using cypelle to level them.
How about we have your XP modifiers apply to your youkai? So brain food, apt, war, performer, green boots etc.
Might speed up the later youkai levels and kinda works since they're yours and all.
