Phase Fang (for Bows) |

This Youkai Evoke works with all weapon types, but Bows are on the short end of the stick.
Could the range be changed from 1 to 2 range, so you can at least step away and fire the shot? Even if it makes the 'teleport movement' effect not work if it's not done in melee.
Just something to not get a -50% Hit penalty on a Youkai Evoke, please.

Galdr Races Singing, plus a new unlockable racial trait |

Galdr Races - That being, Theno, Doriads, and Herons - really have nothing really that benefits bards beyond their potential for higher sound atks. Hell, their song skills cancel out Singing. There's no real difference playing a Bard class as a Galdr race compared to other races; which makes no sense given how Theno and Herons are described as being beautiful singers and Doriad's galdr being capable of literally creating life.
I think that the Galdr races should have something beyond their base SAN/level-based sound atk to fit in with this musical theming. As such...
1. An added stipulation to the song-based racial skills of the Galdr races which makes them not cancel out singing when used, similar to the buffs dances received a few updates ago, and makes them not nuke a dancer's tempo from orbit.
2. A new, unlockable trait for the Galdr races.
Quote:Wide Vocal Range
Required: Theno, Doriad, or Heron.
Your attunement with the forces of Galdr gives you a vocal range that other singers envy, your songs just as much works of magic as they are works of art. You can now use Song class skills without having any instrument equipped. If the song skill would do damage, SWA is equal to your Level + 20.
The SWA stipulation is mainly so that, while someone could run Dark Bard for thematics or run Warmonger's Drum for the buffs to allies, it would still always be more effective to simply use an instrument weapon if you wanted to go for raw damage, so that we don't have Dark Bards running around spamming high-damage AoEs while also being martial powerhouses or giving out heals like it's candy.

Voltiger Kagekiri |

Voltiger normally increases the Range of Sidecut/Sillcut by LV and increases the damage by a percentage (max. 25% bonus damage, 10 duration).
But when used with Kensei, all it does is make Kagekiri a flexible line, while retaining the same range. I have not been seeing much use of that flexible line, mainly due to the range staying the same, so I'd like to request half of those effects to be at the very least applied to Kagekiri.
I.E:
Quote:Kagekiri
(snip, snip, snip)
If Voltiger is available, it will grant half of its effects to this skill, and change the pattern into a flexible line.
This is also known as: "Kagekiri (Voltiger) will gain, at maximum stacks, +3 range and +13% damage."

Normalize Hyattr's Racials |

Hyattr's a race full of quirks, but at points they don't connect to each other well. There's a lot of 'old-stuff-that-is-overlayed-by-new-stuff' to the point the numbers and scalings are everywhere on the board. It's not very intuitive, and I feel like it could be made simpler, similar to Salamandra. Cutting off the whole 'Character LV' stuff is a good first step.
Besides. This skill has an -insane- FP cost for no reason. And the wind-up often takes a whole round by inhaling both Dragon Energy types. So... 9M total to fully use a Fire Breath. I'd rather the base skill be able to be used by itself without needing to wind it up.
Therefore, we'll go from:
Quote:Fire Breath
50 FP / 3M
Area: Line (5)
By utilizing massive amounts of focus, the Hyattr race is capable of launching a line of fire as if they were exhaling. Deals Fire magic damage to all enemies in a line equal to half your Character Level + Scaled SAN.
Its effects can change if you have Magic Energy or Destruction Energy stored. If you have Airborne status, you will also move the length of the line, but this requires the last square in the line to be unoccupied.
This, to that, included all adjustments to things that interact with it:
Quote:Fire Breath (Adjusted)
50 FP / 3M
Area: Line (5)
By utilizing massive amounts of focus, the Hyattr race is capable of launching a line of fire as if they were exhaling. Deals Fire magic damage to all enemies in a line equal to 100% SWA + 100(+1 per 2 Scaled SAN)% Fire ATK
Its effects can change if you have Magic Energy or Destruction Energy stored. If you have Airborne status, you will also move the length of the line, but this requires the last square in the line to be unoccupied.
PS: The animation for Fire Breath should be faster. At the very least, slightly faster than how it is right now.

[v2.83 v2] Sign Background Images |

Currently background images aren't loading when placed onto signs (that had worked prior).
Is this intentional?
UPDATE:
This isn't a bug on SL2's end so I'll just leave this as a PSA. Discord and Imgur don't seem to play nicely with image hosting for signs anymore, imgbox is what I've been recommended and currently use, so if you have any signs that you've used either site for and now have broken backgrounds, swap them over to https://imgbox.com/ or whatever other site works for you.

Macabre Materials |

Currently, Macabre Culture is. Well.
Garbage.
It gives +Ele Attack if you wear gear made out of Remains material. Unfortunately. Gear that isn't your weapons or armor are usually given Resistance to a specific material of 5% per.
+Ele Attack is basically never worth it in comparison to covering up a weakness.
My suggestion here is to just simply buff the Remains Materials as a whole, giving them +Ele Resistance of 5% to the Macabre bonus it gives. Allowing Apertaurus and Reapers to get a very small buff, and also stop having gear that drops a useless material type for everyone else.

Dodge Based Lupine Subrace? (Canis) |

A simple suggestion as mentioned in the title that has spiraled as I've given way too much thought into it...
It might at least be a neat read for whoever cares enough so here it is!
The main idea is a subrace for Lupines that mirrors that of the Felidae in their own neat way!
The word "Lupine" having its roots in Latin, referring to wolves, so maybe this subrace could be called "Canis" or something similar, referring to dogs instead.
It would keeps roots to the Lupine's bias of having very high physical prowess but focus on the complete other side of physicality being SKI and CEL rather than STR and DEF.
Sacrificing their usual power and sturdiness for agility and accuracy, yet still keeping to the physical powerhouse motif.
They'd have a trait similar to Grimalkins called "Canis Instinct" which changes their instincts from the usual to something else.
Felidae vs. Grimalkin (for reference):
- Felidae Instincts - The Felidae are fast and when they feel like they're in danger, they get faster.
In battle, while at 50% HP or less, they gain a bonus to SKI, CEL, LUC, and GUI equal to 1 + 10% of your Scaled SAN.
At 25% HP or less, the bonus is doubled.
- Felidae - ...they gain a bonus to SKI, CEL, LUC, and GUI equal to 1 + 10% of your Scaled SAN.
- Grimalkin - ...they gain a bonus to SKI, CEL, WIL, and RES equal to 1 + 10% of your Scaled SAN.
Lupine vs. Canis:
- Lupine Instincts - Lupines do not go down without a fight.
In battle, while at 50% HP or less, they gain a bonus to STR, WIL, DEF, and RES equal to 1 + 10% of your Scaled SAN.
At 25% HP or less, the bonus is doubled.
- Lupine - ...they gain a bonus to STR, WIL, DEF, and RES equal to 1 + 10% of your Scaled SAN.
- Canis - ...they gain a bonus to STR, WIL, SKI, and CEL equal to 1 + 10% of your Scaled SAN.
Obviously the stats that are switched can likely be something more fitting.
My thought process is that in the metagame, Felidae/Grimalkin get keep SKI and CEL which are two highly valuable offensive and defense stats in their line-up.
Meanwhile "Grimalkin Instincts" changes their last two stats to simply be more in line with lore thematic is still quite strong as WIL and RES is a useful tool to a "proper" Grimalkin.
Lupines having STR and WIL aren't quite nearly as competitive stats (especially considering the Lupine's 1 base WIL) so changing DEF and RES to something like...
SKI and CEL, for Canis is something I feel like wouldn't disrupt the balance all too much as they give up their much of their mid-fight guaranteed tankiness for more or less, slightly better RNG.
I'd also opt for SKI and GUI if the (STR, WIL + SKI, CEL) combo is too much of an issue as it does step on Felidae's toes a bit I'll admit.
It'd go for making this subrace much more of a desperate berserker type rather than the normal Lupine's defensive turtle type of instincts.
This is also definitely not a cry for help in trying to build a competent dodge Lupine that isn't incredibly reliant on Spellthief.
Other trait ideas just meant for fun and not actually meant for real consideration at this point in time:
Dog Eat Dog World
- Do more damage to fellow Lupines/Canis (and take more damage from them(?)). (An exceedingly rare happenstance in the first place...)
- Alt. Do more damage to Kaelensia/Beasts (and take more damage from them(?)). (A much more useful version but still a rare occurence.)
or...
- Something similar to the existing "Competitive" trait but only if you are in a party with other Lupines/Canis (or other Kael/Beasts).
(Maybe something a bit better than 10% Status Res however as this is much more restrictive.)
Lone Wolf
- Opposite of the existing pack traits, you'd gain some sort of small benefit from being the only Lupine/Canis in the party.
Puppy Eyes
- Allows Lupines/Canis do their own version of "Play Cute" or something similar enough to inflict Charm.
Man's Best Friend
- Not sure what it'd do other than maybe synergize with humans in some way. I just thought it would be funny.
TL;DR:
"Dog" lupine subrace based on offense rather than defense (SKI/CEL rather than STR/DEF/RES).
If you made it here to the end, thanks for the read! If you think its a good idea be sure to leave your support and own ideas!
