I can't tell if it's from a specific circumstance or not, but damage absorbed by Know No Pain does not add to the Matador's Rage Energy.

Clarifying: If the reduction brings damage down to 0 (As in, if it would have been 1-19 damage) 0 rage is gained. If the attack still does 1+ damage, rage is gained as normal.
