Druid animal companions' basic attacks suffer from close shot penalty if their Druid is wielding a bow. I'm assuming this is not intended behavior.
Tested for multiple different bows on every companion on the test server, it occurs consistantly.

Tested for multiple different bows on every companion on the test server, it occurs consistantly.
They are showing the hit on YOUR weapon at that range.
NOT their own weapon. It's really. Really weird. Their secondary attack is their actual accuracy.

It's showing the attack forecast for the controller rather than you, this should be corrected in 2.95 (v3).
