[Youkai] Drowned Woman |

For those who aren't aware, the third skill that Drowned Woman possesses (and what anyone installing her will get)- also known as, "Ammendum, Sin, and Purpose,"- is a straight-up 50% Resistance to Slash, Pierce and Blunt damage. Yes, that's it; no weaknesses are applied with the third skill. (The second skill applies the Ghost racial type, however) Here's the problems with this skill:
1. Aside from the Mage/Curate trees and some bits from the MA tree, very few skills do not bother with these damage types.
2. While DW does not have the all-around security seen in Wraithguard, it punishes what it does deal with by taking away from Momentum.
3. Holy can do something to DW.... Except that when you plug the numbers in, 1.5 / 2 = 0.75; in other words, Drowned Woman's 'weakness' doesn't overcome their resistances.
4. Judgment Blade is the same way; 1.5x damage, which gets halved to 0.75. Even if Drowned Woman was just summoned, it would eat the spell without breaking a sweat!
5. Even if you had a Holy Mythslayer, 1.75 / 2 = .8875; you're still getting walled.
6. While something like Wraithguard can still be powered through, Drowned Woman's resistances will slow the enemy down significantly, and that will more than likely give DW (or the Installer) enough room to take care of their opponent.
And concerning DW Install specifically:
7. As if the inherent pluses weren't enough, anyone who has Sync-Mind at Rank 2 will find that having Drowned Woman just laying around will make them susceptible to Holy; this practically forces them to either summon DW or Install her. Given the sheer upsides to having those resistances (alongside the boosts from having a Youkai installed in the first place), Install is the best option.
8. IIRC, Vampires with Brighter Darkness only take half of Holy's damage bonus; Drowned Woman's weakness becomes even less of a hassle in this case.
9. Was the Install cut off? Just re-Install!
10. While DW Install takes care of Slash/Pierce/Blunt, the player can set up resistances in other areas and with their second equipped class. It's quite possible for someone to trigger resist on a load of elements, if not every single element that would typically be found in both PVP and PVE.
tl;dr Drowned Woman's "Ammendum, Sin, and Purpose," is basically the new 777, except the downside isn't a spell that one can just plug into the Skill Slots as a precaution; it's trying to nail a very specific weakness with very specific damage types-- and if DW is being Installed, odds are the player can easily cover those weaknesses on their own. It's a free, potent and overarching set of Damage Resistances that are painless to have, and can easily be built upon for unmatched defenses.
I suggest that at least one of the following steps are taken to reduce the severity of this skill:
1. Decrease the resistances to 25% at best; if not for the Youkai itself, then at least for anyone Installing DW.
2. Make the third Skill disable all other types of resistances when applied.
3. Give Drowned Woman a much bigger weakness. (I have nothing in mind for this at the moment)
I'd like to also suggest that when an Install ends, the player cannot Install the same Youkai (If not any Youkai at all) for 3 rounds.

Wanted to suggest, Neus, that when you mark a bug as solved, state when the fix will be implemented.
Say, for instance, you fixed a bug that was in 1.03 but won't be implementing it until 1.04, it'd be good to know that, so that, when we see "has been fixed", we don't go to test if it was actually fixed.

Request: Silver Handgun with Coral |

From: seeker@l-net.grm
Subject: Request: Silver Handgun with Coral
Body: Hello again. I had previously posted a similar request, however,
due to a minor system malfunction, said request has been lost. I am in
search of a particular type of handheld firearm, semi-automatic and
made from the new, weapons-grade coral that can be found in water-
aspected Black Door Phenomena -- colloquially known as 'whirlpools.'
In order to qualify for consideration, submitted firearms must include
specific sighting mechanisms to increase the shooter's ability to place
bullets in critical, vital areas of the target. It must be the silver half
of a paired set, and should preferably not bear a curse. However, if
your particular submission does bear a curse, it may still be considered
at a lower price, as I would require the services of a specialist in the
field of curse removal.
Interested parties are advised to post their submissions as addendums
to this request, along with contact information and asking price. I am
Mily, a mechanation with an eyepatch, black synth-fibre hair, and a
navy blue cloak. I am readily identifiable, yet reclusive, as I am often
focused on my work as an engineer. LaplaceNET is the most effective
way of initiating conversation.
(( OOC note: I'm looking for a deadly coral yang. Enchantment doesn't
matter, but curses are expensive to remove, requiring a purging flame
that I don't know how to make, so cursed ones are worth less to me. ))

Akimbo? More like Akimbdon'tshoot |

So if you have Akimbo equipped but you don't actually have any handguns equipped, your normal attack with a gun doesn't work and it'll still cost momentum. Other weapon and parting shot will work just fine though. This is what it'll look like if you try attacking.

Battle Cries! |

So, I'd like to suggest that when a certain event happens in battle (I.e., a crit), your character says something pre-set (that can be changed by you).
Person A attacks Person B with Weapon A! Crit!
Person A: Taste my steel! (Preset)
Person B riposte's!
Person B: Not so tough now! (Preset)
Person A uses a potion!
Person A: I need a bigger edge! (Preset).
Just some ideas that came to mind.
Quote:Possible battle text trigger conditions:
Score a critical hit
Receive a critical hit
Drop below 50% HP
Drop below 50% FP
Riposte attacks
Stalemate parries
Defeat an enemy
Fall unconscious
Heal yourself
Heal an ally
Receive a heal from someone else
Be revived from unconsciousness by someone else
Die Hard activates

LA Metalwork Bug |

So, I LA'd to specifically be able to craft a perfect (4 positive quality) Coral Wo-Dao.
I had about 40-ish Coral and got about five 3 Quality wo-daos. I asked Sderg about it and he said to report it as a bug, since I have the skill to craft it.
The Coral Wo-Dao is a skill level of 4, I have a sword-crafting skill of 8.

Can we set it so that House Stairs can be hidden, possibly even have them have tiles adjacent to them < at the house owners discretion > also lead up there? Sometimes you want 2 sets of stairs leading up to the same area, but just can't manage it or something. It's more or a mapping thing and thematic.

Elemental resistance and items |

I feel that items that give high resistances to the elements in the accessory and boot slots should also give weaknesses= to half the resist they give, as it is possible to gain a plethora of resists in the games current state.
this allows you to gimp elemental monsters as they only have 6m for the most part and cannot do a follow up after their failure of an attack
( I use water resist to gimp goblins for example so they cant use explosion .
also any weakness regardless of the % should trigger the WEAK bonus.
