You cannot trade Chimeric Eyes gotten from chests, specifically in Korvara. This has been a bug for some time now apparently, but never affected the mainland quite as bad as it did Korvara, since I believe it only affected the Chimeric Eyes you could get from the chests in Lorywell.

Apparently these were slipping into the gen-able items. It's been corrected in 2.61.
