Kadouha Again

This skill is severely lacking in any usefulness, and it requires taking a weird build path for most monks, could we have it so that the damage of the skill is increased by 50% at 30 Ki? That'd make it worth using all of your Ki for.

It's what I've been asking for over 5-6 months now. Just two small things.

Kadouha Pros:
> Very simple, but fancy animation. It buys time when fighting!
> Only Monk Skill that gains extra effects the more Ki you have stored.
> If positioned good, it can hit a lot of foes at once.

Kadouha Cons:
> The overall damage is TOO LOW for a finisher Monk skill, even if you invest in Light ATK. ((It's treated as a finisher for consuming all of your precious Ki. Even though it doesn't damage.))
> Spirit Mirror ruins a Kadouha completely. It reflects the skill, no matter the size or how much Ki you've spent on it.
> Light Damage can be reflected back at the user, thanks to Crystal Mirror.
> Light Damage can be easily reduced by 60% if you equip Sunglasses + Irisgold.
> FP costs vs Scaling makes the skill not very optimal, FP wise. Even if Monk can regain FP with Power Up. They must waste too much Momentum to charge up every time.
> Enemy with any Light Resist, Body of Isesip, Evasion, Wraithguard and Snake Dancer just makes using the skill a rather retard choice, due to how much it consumes.

And overall, it's just hard to stack up Light ATK without technically sacrificing tons of other useful stats and then your char ends up under-performing the other Monks (who normally build STR, DEF, CEL, all statuses who benefit and get benefited from other Monk skills). Kadouha is one of those skills that you have to dedicate a full build to make it work in your favor. But even though you invest for it, you don't get rewarded for doing so.

SO...

There are two ways to approach this, I guess. If you buff up the WPN scaling and give it a bonus at 30 Ki, or... If you make Kadouha, once it hits an enemy for less than 40 damage, make the enemy auto-emote a laugh, because the skill tickled them.

I don't know why I'd use Kadouha in any situation, but I want to, I really do.

Can we please increase the damage by spent Ki%, setting sun does the same thing but it doesn't exhaust all of your Ki, I think then maybe people would stop complaining about how lackluster this skill is.

And both are AoEs, the only difference is Setting sun has an easier element to build for as a martial artist, and kadouha spends all of your Ki, which is hardly worth it in it's current state.

I agree with this 100%! It's already hard enough to build for since it needs FAI, and it takes around 10M just to do damage around shine ray's.

Here's how I think the skill can be good, in 2 points

-At 15 ki it should buff the damage of the skill by Ki%
-At 25 Ki it should Knock enemies back 5 tiles.

Also, maybe if Ki Awoken is active it has some special interaction, like doubling range or destroying all tiles.

And maybe Suppress Ki can only consume up to 15 Ki, disabling any effects beyond that.

make it not light damage

just make it pure magic/spirit damage like the lich racial

have it scale on weapon attack

Akashic Damage on Kadouha? I'm all in for this. I agree with Spo except for the knockback. KB might make it impossible to combo Kadouha with another Monk skill for Combination Fighter purposes.

- Bonus damage based on Ki consumed, increased by a percentage.
- It not consuming all, but only half of your current Ki each use.
- The on-hit explosion range increased by 3 per 5 Ki used, enemies can get hit by the explosion multiple times.
- Akashic Damage instead of Light Damage.
- Scaling changed from Light ATK to Scaled WIL.
- Ki Awoken would make it consume all Ki you have, and Kadouha would destroy tiles it go through, leaving (red if possible) Ravaged tiles behind.
- Beam?

Once again, I'm suggesting elemental augmentation.

BUT, have it only receive elemental augmentation at 30 ki, and give it a damn beam icon already. I'm tired of firing Hadoukens that my opponent gets tickled by now.

EDIT: Also, thematically Akashic doesn't work with Kadouha, it's not even magic it's Ki. Please no.

Damage type is not an issue for Kadouha, and we certainly don't need to make it Akashic (aka 'True') damage. Make the skill actually deal more damage at higher Kis and we'll be good.
