If you don't want to spend too long in a fight. Make it known.
If people are deliberately stalling, get a GM.
I feel like this entire problem of PvP fights taking too long can be solved with simple communication.
People should respect your time. But to do this, they need to know it is limited.
This is the only thing we should rightfully govern. If someone is disrespecting you and your time after you have made it clear you want to keep things short, that's an issue the GMs should resolve. Otherwise, people should be free to post, and not subject to mandatory timers. It's a roleplaying game. We shouldn't forcefully restrict roleplay in favour of PvP.
