Polk and I wanted to make some Bond-esque villains who wanted to take over the volcano near Geladyne/drill a secret base into it. We spoke to a GM and someone from Geladyne- I don’t think it was you, I can’t seem to find the Discord minichat for it so it’s likely the minichat was closed, but ultimately we were denied. It sucks, because Polk had some great art commissioned for their character and I was 10% through a piece myself, but that’s what we get for assuming it would be a-go and getting stuff ready before the approval. It’d have been a lot of work for those involved on the Geladyne side, so while I’m not happy with the resolution, I understand why it has to be like it is.

There’s also how our Meiaquar gang isn’t allowed to officially claim any territory/buildings.

Polk and I have also have had some bandits we were on before, doing things that wouldn't need permission from anyone besides the OOC permission of people we robbed (consent and all), but we had been approached by Telegradian leadership who said they didn’t want to deal with us right then and asked us to OOCly stop. The two parties involved (us, the robbers, and those who OOCly consented being robbed) couldn't roleplay what we wanted to because of a third party (the Telegrad leadership). Now, from a perspective, this is understandable. They don't want to look bad as leaders. But from my perspective? Being told I'm an OOC problem when I'm having fun with fellow roleplayers because of IC perspectives is... just disheartening.

There's been other small bits here and there as well. Chips of denial and bureaucracy needed that have made me ultimately stop playing the game. I log on once a month or two to roleplay with the Meiaquar gang I mentioned, but other than that... the Sawrock that plays now is of much different opinion than the Sawrock I was when I spent $100 on Bloeden's home in Law's End. I'm just exhausted.

This here, right here.

Here's a hypothetical.

what If I send a modmail in, asking to play a  extremist that wishes to take action about the badlands I so clearly have been complaining about. That I wish to raid, bomb, sabotage, undermine, poison, every nasty little thing until the land is no longer able to be rule by any nation (basically return it back to how it was at korv launch with 50% more craters)

I'm willing to bet It will be called meta, ooc in ic, and I'll be denied even through not a single damn player goes to the badlands for anything other stealing scrap from a gremlin or collecting some herbs and mushrooms in the bottom cave, or someone doing a shard walk.
