Reason why you are making this request (if applicable) - Mostly just to cover my ass. Magic punches aren't too far fetched to me, but they might be to some.
Roleplay & Lore supporting your request - The gloves would have been made custom in Karaten, for this particular style. I imagine there would be a niche market for similar mages, largely fire mages, who like to get up close and personal with their foes.

Considering there are literally gauntlet weapons in the game that are casting implements and the Majistra of the Dormeho Mage's Guild mentions that he'll teleport you with his fist if you don't want to be teleported, this is 100% a'okay.
