I would like the ability to customize equipment more, flavor-wise, so I agree with that this would be good.

As long as there's the ability for a GM to read these descriptions, I have no problem with seeing this implemented (in some fashion).

@ Chaos: I don't think we have to worry over a GM being able to read the description since everyone currently can.
