Gentle Torrent is apparently ignoring resistance.
Guild Devourer Of Holes: Test Parameters: 88 WIL Elf, 44 FAI, 29 power Tome Main Hand, Staff offhand. Invigoration capped at +3. Gentle Torrent Rank 1 versus 62 resistance mechanation.
Guild Devourer Of Holes: Mechanation was hit for 152 damage no matter what his resistance stat was.
