Wooden weapons should be craftable with remains. Historically and as a fantasy trope weapons made from the bones of other creatures are quite common. Bows especially should be allowed this option as there is a history of sinew being used in composite bow shafts along with the use of antler tips to reinforce the bow.
now if the problem against doing this is the staff weapons, then clearly the solution is "remains disables spell edge"

I'd rather Wood got its own "remains", honestly. Something you can Craft with worked remains and wood, similar to elemental threads.

Something like this "composite blocks" of wood and remains pressed together.
