At first, if I remember, towering mobs used to have a larger sprite, to emphasise the fact that they are bigger mobs. This seems to have stopped being a thing, intentional or not, with the ring being the only thing that grows in size. It makes things look pretty awkward. Is this a bug?

Adding to this, it seems like the 'animate()' proc works. For a split-second they're huge at the start of the combat, but then they shrink once more effects are loaded after it.
And this has been an issue since before the Valentines update, so don't get mislead by the coincidence of the Chocolate monster being the cause.
