[Kensei] Die the death! - Rendar - 11-12-2014

Prepare for the absolute suffering...!
Yes, this is one of those lame Absolute Death threads. Currently, the skill applies the Hunted status to the target, increasing damage by the % your rank gives you. In its fifth rank, it makes it a 50% damage increase for almost everything.

What if the full % only works for basic attacks and Kensei skills? Anything that isn't Kensei only gets its damage boosted by 25% at max rank.

(That includes Power Gradation and other Duelist skills. Maybe apply this to guns basic attacks too. They ignore defense.)

It should be sword based basic attacks, regular basic attacks lets gunners still use it to high hell.

I can agree with this point. But like I said on the old forums, I agree this should be limited to Kensei based combat only.

Well, AD would affect Basic Attacks only.

Which means it would not affect the On-hit effects of things, IE: Magic Bullets. It'd fix that problem, and allow it to work for anything that constitutes as a Basic-Attack with a hit check < Not Mad Chop, but Guns would apply >

100% in favor of limiting what it works with, so long as it makes logical sense.

In combination with the Str+Skill kensei attacks suggestion in the other thread, making it only apply to normals + kensei skills would be neat.

Am for this.
Absolute death needs to work only for kensei skills and basic attacks with a katana, similar to how charge mind only works with evoker spells. Other classes get too much use out of it.

If it effected melee basic attacks, kensei skills, duelist skills, and maybe ghost skills, it would be much more balanced. Guns are good enough as is and magic has charge mind for it's damage buff.

Thank you for the sarcastic and unnecessary comment. The only magic that needs a power up in the first place is Evoker as that's kind of what defines it now. The other magic classes don't need an attack buff like absolute death either. Verglas is fine. LB is fine.

Why did you even reply to me if you had nothing to add to the thread?
